On the Ninth Day of Christmas...

The Christmas celebrations continued with our first family Christmas.  Today, we celebrated with Al's uncle Scott, Nanny Jane, Grandma, and cousins, Emily and Grant.  As always the food was great and the company even better.  Although we all wish we would get together more often, the time we are together is sweet and full of love.  I wish I had taken more pictures but will look forward to getting Jane's!

Ely is starting to learn the hard lesson of gift giving and receiving is that the size of the gift is not what matters.  He asked often for Wii games and they are simply more expensive than a lot of other kid toys. This has opened up a good bit of conversation about being grateful for the gifts we receive even if it looks to be "less/not as big" as what others get.  Hopefully, this will be helpful for when we go to Trussville for Christmas and open gifts with the cousins on my side of the family.
