I am reminded once again what an amazing school Ely is at! I have heard in the past that Kindergarten is one big party and today did not disappoint! Actually, it was a great day for all the kids at Heritage Elementary. Santa and Mrs. Claus flew down from the North Pole for a quick visit! It was truly a magical day. Molly, Luke and I were able to join the students to welcome them to Colleyville and to help give gifts to Toys for Tots. This is an annual tradition for the school and it was just so cool. We waited with bated breath for the helicopter to arrive with their special passengers. You could just feel the excitement in the air. After a hug from Santa and Mrs. Claus (to each and every student), the kindergarten elves took gave their presents for Toys for Tots to the Marine Corp officers. It was so sweet.
There was a lot more excitement after the Claus's left. Each Kindergartener received a special elf from the North Pole (much like Elf on the Shelf, except he lives at school in an elf house that Ely made). They flew in with Santa and the kids couldn't wait to see them. Ely's is named Candy!
