I love Ely's age right now. He has such a tender heart and I am so proud of him. On Sunday Ely came to me holding his piggy bank. He said that he wanted to count the money and give it to the people who didn't have any. It took my breath away. Al and i have talked often about following in my parents example and want to be generous with our kids as well as teaching them generosity. For this one moment, he got it.
I asked him to make sure that was what he wanted to do with the change he has collected and he was quite determined. He has counted his money and we are taking it to the church on Wednesday.
Just a sampling of our life in Texas...it is never dull, never the same and full of love and laughter
