Each summer our HomeTeam friends carve out 3 days to spend together playing, laughing and re-uniting. When we joined this wonderful group in 2001, most of us were married without kids. That first year, the Smouses took the bull by the horns and planned a weekend retreat. I am pretty sure we went somewhere in Oklahoma that first time around. Every year sense, the Smouses have planned fun trip after fun trip. As we have all gotten busier and the kids aren't able to see each other as much and quite frankly, the adults aren't able to get together as much as we would like, socially. The retreat offers some time away from the busy-ness of life to enjoy these precious relationships.
This year took us to Jellystone National Park in Burleson, TX. A LONG trip of 30 miles from our front door! The kids loved Bingo, the water park, play ground, inflatable park, laser tag, staying up WAY too late and most of all, spotting Yogi Bear and Boo Boo around the camp grounds.
We can't wait to see what next year has in store for us!
