Finishing Up 2012/2013 School Year

The 2012/2013 school year went by in a flash.  Mrs. Hill proved to be just as wonderful of a Kindergarten teacher that we had hoped for at the beginning of the year.  Ely loves math and is working on loving reading.  His competitive nature helps to motivate him to do well in reading because he sees some of his friends reading at a higher level and doesn't like to be behind.  His favorite part of the year was working on iPads and learning the game Minecraft.

We are ready for summer and slower days.  We started a few weekends before school let out enjoying the cooler weather before the 100F days that are to come!

Last day at Compass with Ms. Denise and Ms. Billie Jean.  Look how they have grown!

First day in September 2012
Although Luke and Molly have grown physically the last 9 months, they have grown leaps in bounds with what they have learned.  We started with speech therapy in February and I am so thankful that we did and for the service.  Molly is significantly more and Luke is making his way.  Luke is still much more shy at school and seems to be most comfortable with Molly.  His big accomplishments were when he played a bit away from Molly and closer to other kids.

The last couple of weeks at HES ushered in our first field day.  Ely had a blast and it was fun to take the twins for a little bit.  He did great in all the competitions except for running.  He totally walked the entire time!  It was hot outside, so I don't really blame him!
